In Singapore, all private water meters are regulated by the Public Utilities Board (PUB).
Recently, PUB has rolled out a set of new prerequisites and regulations which will take effect from 1 June 2023. Such changes include the mandated compliance with the standards ISO 4064: 2014 and OIML R49: 2006. The meters shall be tested by an SAC-accredited test laboratory or its Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) partners.
All private water meters must adhere to these requirements before they are allowed to be offered for sale, displayed, or advertised for water service installations in Singapore.
A simple search of these new requirements may seem overwhelming for many but fortunately, this is where the expertise of Singapore Test Lab (STL) lies. .
In line with PUB’s requirements, STL is ready to meet your testing and certification needs. We are accredited to ISO 4064 Part 1 and ISO 4064 Part 2, for the testing of such water meters by the Singapore Accreditation Council.
