Singapore Test Lab (STL) is pleased to be recognised as an ITE Certified OJT Centre Advocate.

Through ITE’s internship programme, STL provides students with opportunities to gain practical experience and valuable exposure to the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry.

As part of STL’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we believe that supporting the development of young talent is an important way of contributing to the community and helping to build Singapore’s future workforce.

While classroom education provides students with essential knowledge and technical foundations, exposure to a real working environment allows them to understand how these skills are applied in practice.

Through their internship with STL, students can experience the daily operations of a professional TIC laboratory.

They are exposed to workplace practices, laboratory activities, teamwork and communication. This hands-on experience helps students develop practical skills and gain a better understanding of the expectations and responsibilities that come with entering the workforce.

We also see the programme as a two-way learning experience. STL benefits from working with young talents and gaining a better understanding of how the younger generation thinks, learns and approaches work.

Their fresh perspectives, different ways of communicating and solving problems provide valuable insights to our team. This experience helps STL better understand and engage with younger members of our own workforce as we continue to develop and build our team for the future.
